Our History

MSM began in 1983 as Mike’s Sheet Metal Products making flashing and HVAC related parts in a small 5,000 sq ft building on Pittman Avenue in Sparks, Nevada. We started with the most basic hand operated sheet metal tools with 1 employee, myself, and a lot of drive and determination. As we out grew the Pittman building we moved to our newly constructed 10,000 sq ft building on Freeport Blvd in 1989.

In 2000, our 2 sons, Matt and Mike, joined Linda and I as partners and we became a family owned business, changing our name to MSM Sheet Metal & Steel Fabrication, Inc.

Over the years we have continued to expand our capabilities in other types of related manufacturing. After expanding the Freeport property to over 13,000 sq ft and leasing another 8,000 sq ft down the street, we relocated to our current location at 1100 East Greg Street with 72,500 sq ft in 2005. As we moved in, I remember thinking how we did not need such a large building.

In 2014 we expanded into the Millworks/Casework industry to produce both metal and wood cabinets and fixtures. Here we are in 2018 with our “large building” full to capacity and then some.
